Henda nýggja útgávan av Tore Brunborg Trio er við Bárði R. Poulsen á
bassi og Veslemøy Narvesen á trummum. Saman granska tey trioformatið
við útgangsstøði í nýggjum tónleiki eftir Tora. Við drúgvum royndum av
at skriva til ymisk stór og smá orkestur, hevur Tore nú skrivað tónleik til
hetta intima formatið.
Tey bjóða eina sermerkta blanding av snildum rytmiskum og
harmoniskum elementum – við sterkum bygnaðum og melodium, sum
bera tónleikin víðari. Í samspæli við tað leikandi trummuspælið hjá
Narvesen og tað luftiga men sterka bassspælið hjá Poulsen, gongur
tónleikurin nógvar vegir. Sum umboð fyri síni ættarlið leggja tey afturat
bæði sjónarhorn, dýpd og søguligan samanhang. Við øðrum orðum – ein
kann kalla tað eitt nýtt slag av fusion!
Bárður og Veslemøy hava vakt ans í bólkum sum Espen Berg Trio,
Flukten, Kongle Trio, Mall Girl, Wako o.fl.
Eftir tvær konsertferðir heystið 2024 fóru tey í Studio Paradiso í Oslo og
tóku upp nógvan tónleik, og ein fløga verður givin út í vár 2026.

The new edition of the Tore Brunborg Trio features Bárður R. Poulsen on bass and Veslemøy Narvesen on drums. Together, they explore the trio format through new music composed by Tore. Drawing on extensive experience writing for both large and small ensembles, Tore has now focused his compositional work on this intimate format.

The trio offers a distinctive blend of refined rhythmic and harmonic elements, marked by strong structures and melodies that propel the music forward. Through the interplay of Narvesen’s playful drumming and Poulsen’s airy yet powerful bass playing, the music moves in many directions. As representatives of their generation, the trio brings perspective, depth, and a sense of historical continuity. In other words, one might call it a new kind of fusion.

Bárður and Veslemøy have gained attention through bands such as Espen Berg Trio, Flukten, Kongle Trio, Mall Girl, Wako, and others.

Following two concert tours in the autumn of 2024, the trio entered Studio Paradiso in Oslo, where they recorded a substantial body of music. An album is scheduled for release in spring 2026.
